Thank you for making this year’s gathering one of the best Alaska Catholic Youth Conferences ever! Many adults and teens gave of their time, talent and treasure to help with tasks that ranged from meeting out of town guests at the airport to preparing meals in the kitchen.
Each year, I am overwhelmed with those who demonstrate their sincere faith and love for our young people through their giving towards ACYC. Editor’s note: The letters below are a sampling of the many responses we received to a widely circulated column by Father Thomas Brundage, the judicial vicar for the Anchorage Archdiocese. In his column Father Brundage clarified news reports on the events of a now-highly publicized 1996-98 church trial of a Milwaukee priest who abused deaf students in the 1950s and 1960s. At the time of the trial, Father Brundage was the judicial vicar of the Milwaukee Archdiocese and the presiding judge in the trial.
